Get Moving šŸŒ

As we sat on our back steps, finishing our bowls of cereal on our last morning in our home, Mitch turned to MasƩ and said, "so what's the plan?" Her response was so to the point, straight forward, and really our motto since we met each other:

"Get moving"

To catch everyone up to speed, we met in 2011 in Spain, while MasƩ was working as a tour guide for American students, and Mitch went to Seville to study abroad. After spending some time doing long distance, MasƩ moved to Rhode Island in November of 2015.

During our time in Rhode Island, we have had a total of 11 jobs, 6 of which were at the same time. We are not complacent and we both have a strong desire of searching for more, for deeper meanings, for what's not clearly seen at first glance. We work hard in every aspect of our life, whether it be professionally, spiritually, or physically. We believe in the importance of working together as a team, that way life becomes smooth and easy. However, easy is not always what we want! We found ourselves with some of the prototypical things that "a normal life" should have: a house, good jobs, comfortableness, good friends, etc. Yes, we appreciate all of that, yet, is that all that life is about? Is that all you need to be happy? OR can we be happy no matter what, anywhere and everywhere? Where do you find your spiritual stability and your mental balance? How do you reach the point of complete understanding of who you really are, among the influences of others? These are some of the thoughts that would go through our minds.

We had been talking about doing a big trip around the world for years, yet we wanted to have a purpose, a personal and spiritual aim. We are excited about exploring the world; however, there is something deeper that we are looking to encounter. When you find yourself experiencing and having realizations of what it is like to feel a constant and stable inner peace, you recognize that the more time spent focusing inward rather than outward, the stronger this inner peace will grow. This way, you don't have to look for it anywhere or through anyone.

This state of mind is the foundation, the seed of the tree where our trip is rooted. Once you experience that peace, happiness, and love begin to develop within you, the only thing you want to do is share it with the whole entire world.

We have devoted a lot of time to our spiritual growth which has not only helped us individually, but also as a partnership. We feel a strong desire of helping others, communicating at different levels, exchanging positive energy, doing physical work, learning from every single interaction, and overall EXPERIMENTING WITH LIFE! We believe that through volunteering we can help a lot, and if you add positive vibrations and uplifting thoughts, worldwide magic will happen.

One night this past winter, MasƩ turned to Mitch and said

- "If we don't do this trip, we will never do it."

The next morning, we started planning the logistics of the trip, and over the course of the summer we managed to sell, donate, and gift everything in our house. We shoved our clothes, memories, and a few books into our suitcases, and here we are now. A big process of detachment took place. We are ready for the most exciting and anticipated adventure that will take us through this beautifully unique planet.

We are both proud of the work we have done in Rhode Island, the relationships we have developed with friends and family, and now filled with energy and excitement for the next stage of our life. This new chapter, and this new challenge will answer this question: Can you really maintain your spiritual and mental stability anywhere you are? We have fully experienced it at home, following our routine. Now we want to experience it everywhere so we can say to others:

If I did it, you can do it too!

Feel free to reach out if you are curious about any details of the trip!

Thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way and we hope you enjoy following us on our journey.
